The Owner Taught the Dog to Talk, Then Something Horrible Happened

December 16, 2023

I don't know, have you ever wished your pet could talk? Whether you have a cat, a dog, or a reptile, you must have thought that one day your pet can talk to you. After all, sometimes what the pet is thinking, the owner can not guess, sometimes sick, where the discomfort, the owner is difficult to know, can only be found by observation. And in the United States, there is a dog really can "talk", its owner through unremitting efforts to teach her dog to "talk". But after learning to talk, after dogs and owners communicate more and more, things slowly get weird...What's going on here?

Alexis, a Bunny owner, said she started raising Bunny in the summer of 2019. Bunny has over 5 million followers on tiktok. After raising Bunny for a while, Alexis had the idea that it would be nice if she could understand Bunny. She recalled watching a video of a speech-language pathologist teaching her dog a sound board in which the dog could express simple words in speech. So she wanted to try it, too, and found a button to train Bunny. This button says outside, and when you press this button, it will sound "Outside," and Alexis will take Bunny outside. She associates the sound of the button with Bunny's perception of going out. Bunny gradually understood the meaning of this button, and whenever he wanted to go out, he would press "outside" to show the poop shovel that he wanted to go out.

Encouraged to see this approach work, Alexis began to gradually increase the number of buttons to teach the meaning of the words. And a few days later, Alexis posted another video in which Bunny says "You Dog Yes" with a button. Alexis answers with the button "I Human Yes." However, the dog hesitated and pressed the "I Human" button again. Bunny as a dog doesn't seem to realize the difference between herself and her owner. Bunny is confused by these words and may even think she should be a human being. It is important to know that self-awareness is not something that all animals have, only some highly intelligent animals have. Dolphins, gorillas, they're aware of their own existence. Wouldn't it be nice to just be a happy, carefree puppy?
